Unit History


Escuadrón de Entrenamiento 2

Role: Operational Training.

The unit was formed in 1945 with five North American AT-6 Texan, five Vultee BT-13 Valiant, four 7 BT-13, four Stearman PT-17 Kaydet, three Curtiss CW-14R and one Curtiss CW-16E. After a reorganisation in 1947 the unit was renamed Escuadrón Táctico 2. In 1954 the squadron was again renamed Escuadrón Táctico y Entrenamiento with three North American AT-6D Texans.
