Title:

Comando de Aviación del Ejército de Chile (Chilean Army Aviation)

Brief History:

1913 Aeronautics School (Escuela de Aeronautica) formed. 1930 merged with the Naval Aviation Service to form the National Air Force. 1970 reformation of an Aviation Command with an Aviation Regiment. 1996 the regiment got brigade status.

National Markings:

Main Marking  Fin Flash 
Usually the Army aircrafts have on their sides the inscription "Ejército" or "Ejército de Chile", the camouflage colours are similar to those used by the FACH, but on some cases the rudder is painted red with a white star (FACH uses dark blue rudders).

Organisation:

Most of the aircraft and helicopters are concentrated at the base of the 1st Aviation Brigade "Independencia" at Rancagua, some are deployed as required with five of the seven army divisions.
