Unit History


Escuadrón de Combate "Dragons"

Role: Fighter/Fighter-Bomber.

The Escuadrón de Combate was formed in 1961 after the death of President Trujillo from the existing squadrons Escuadrón Caza Ramfis and Escuadrón de Caza-Bombardeos Leonidas. In 2009 the unit was reequipped with Embraer A-29B Super Tucano as the squadron has been without its own aircraft after the Cessna A-37B have been wfu in 2002.
