Narrative Summary:

The Brigada de Caballeria Aerotransportada (Air Transport Cavalry Brigade) and the Escuadrón de Caballeria Aérea (EdCA) (Airborne Cavalry Squadron) were formed in October 2002 to use the aquired Robinson helicopters and from May 2003 the four OH-58A. With the imminent closure of its base the unit will move to the newly-built Aeropuerto Internaciónal La Isabela, near Higuero, later in 2005.
