Unit History


Escuadrón de Vigilancia y Rescate de Guardacostas

Role: Surveillance, SAR.

The unit was activated in December 1951 with one RC-3 Seabee. In February 1952 they received 4 PBY-5A from the United States. The Naval Aviation Corps was disbanded on the 3 November 1952 and the aircraft were integrated into the Cuerpo de Aviación Militar Dominicana.
