Comando de Operaciones Aéreas y Defensa (COAD)
Role: Air Operations/Surveillance/Air Defence.
The unit was formed on 5.7.2006 after the Comando Aéreo de
Combate (COMAC),
Comando Aéreo de Transporte (COTRAN) and the
Comando de la Defensa
Aérea (COMDA) were merged. The command operates now all aircraft and helicopters
of the FAE except those operated by the Escuela Superior Militar de
Aviación.
