Instituto Tecnológico Superior
Aeronáutico (ITSA)
Role: Training.
The ITSA was formed as
Escuela Técnica Aeronáutica
on the 1.6.1954 to train technical personnel for the Ecuadorian Air Force in
Quito. The school was later renamed
Escuela Técnica de la Fuerza Aérea (ETFA)
and move to Guayaquil in 1971. In 1976 the school found its present location at
Latacunga. On 8.11.1999 the unit became the Instituto
Tecnológico Superior Aeronáutico.
