Unit History


Escuadrilla Cuscatlán

Role: Aerobatic.

The unit was formed in 1959 as a Escuadrilla acrobática with five FG-1D. In the late 1970s the Escuadrilla was named "Escuadrilla Cobra" and received F-51D Mustang. At the end of 1978 the Escuadrilla Cuscatlán, as the aerobatic unit was known now, was equiped with Magister. But in 1979 the unit was disbanded only to be reestablished in 1988 with four A-37B.
