Brief History:
The Procuraduria General De La Republica (PGR), is a government law enforcement agency which plays a major role in the fight against illegal drugs. The air division is known as the Servicios Aereos de la PGR (Air Services of the PGR). This comprises the PGR Air Operations Department and the Interception Department. The former department controls aerial fumigation, aerial reconnaissance of suspected drug fields and sends information to command centres, while the latter has 4 computerised centres and 51 aircraft assigned to the interception role. The Officer in charge is General de Division PADEMA Roberto Noble of the Mexican Air Force.
