Policia Federal Preventiva de Mexico (Mexican State Police)

Brief History:

The Policia Federal Preventiva (PFP), is considered a paramilitary force that is specialized in the fight against crime in Mexico. This force was created circa February 1998, by combining three existing agencies into one. It is controlled by the Secretaria de Segurida Publica. The Officer in charge "Comisionado" is ContraAlmirante Wifrido Robledo of the Mexican Navy.

National Markings:

The aircraft carry Mexican civil registrations (i.e. XC-xxx) and a PFP registration PF-xxx.

By November 2000 the PFP had 43 aircraft, including 10 fixed wing and 25 rotary wing.

The flight training of PFP personnel is being undertaken at the Naval Aviation School at Las Bajadas, Veracruz.
