Unit History
Role: Weather Forecast.
The unit was formed in 1968 as
Departamento de Meteorología, subordinated to the Agrupamiento de Comunicaciones
of Brigada Aérea I. On 21.12.1973 the service was renamed Dirección General de
Meteorología and again on 12.11.1974 to Director General de Meteorología. The
unit got its present name on 28.8.1991.
