Servicio de Aeronáutica de la Armada
Role: Flight Operations.
The unit was formed on 7.2.1925 but received
its first aircraft, two CANT 18 and one CANT 21, only on 24.9.1930. In 1942 the
service received some Sikorsky OS2U-3 Kingfisher and Fairchild PT-23A
training aircraft from the United Staetes in return for base facilities. The
unit was renamed Aviación Naval
in 1951.
