Heinkel He 45 Shturkel 
Twelve He 45B ordered in 1936 and delivered in late 1936. Used by the Troop Yato of the 3. Army Orliak and the Recce Yato of the Training Orliak for the reconnaissance role. Served with the 2nd Army Orliak until 1942. Withdrawn from service in 19?? Fuselage codes 11, 22 and 33 were used. Shturkel = Stork.

Heinkel He 51B Sokol 
Twelve He 51B-1 ordered in 1936. Ex-Luftwaffe aircraft. Delivered and assembled in late 1936, in service by 1937. Used by ? in the fighter role. Fuselage codes 11, 22 and 33 were used. Bulgaria's first true fighter since WW1. Withdrawn from front line service in 1940. Used as an advanced trainer by the Fighter School at Stara Zagora. Last example withdrawn 194? Sokol = Falcon. Military type number 7067.

Heinkel He 72 Kanarche 
Six He 72 delivered in 1938. Radial-engined biplane. Used by the Officer Training Orliak at Vrazhdebna and later with the Fighter School for the initial and basic training role. Withdrawn from service in 1940. Reference below quotes delivery date as 1936. Kanarche = Canary.

Heinkel He 111H-16 
One He 111H-16 obtained in 1943 as a gift from Hermann Goering. Used by ? unit for VIP transport and instrument flying training. Withdrawn from service in 1944. Second aircraft reported captured after being abandoned by the Germans in Yugslavia late 1944-early 1945 and then sent back to Bulgaria. One He 111 in service with 14th Air Transport Polk in 1949.
