Mikoyan-Gurevitch MiG-25 Foxbat 
Four MiG-25 delivered in 1981. Used by ? unit for the reconnaissance role. Withdrawn from service in 1990 and sold to Russia in May 1991.

Mikoyan-Gurevitch MiG-29 Fulcrum 
Eighteen MiG-29 (product 9-12) and four MiG-29UB delivered from manufacturer from June 1989 onwards. Used by 3 IA for the interceptor fighter role. Between 1989 and 2000 these aircraft flew from Ravnets air base in eastern Bulgaria. During 2000-2001 they relocated to Graf Ignaievo air base in central Bulgaria. Reports of another fourteen aircraft due to be delivered in 1997 proved to be false.
