Twelve? MiG-17 delivered from manufacturer from 1955 onwards (some sources say 1953). Used by ? unit for the interceptor fighter role and then from the early 1960s by ? for the tactical fighter role. Withdrawn from service in 19??. Military Type Number 7207.

Mikoyan-Gurevitch MiG-17F Fresco C 
About 60-72 MiG-17F delivered from 1955-56. Version of MiG-17 with afterburner added and enlarged airbrakes. Used by ? unit for the interceptor fighter role and then from the early 1960s by ? for the tactical fighter role. 21st IAP at Uzundzhovo converted from MiG-19 to MiG-17F/PF to make up for high attrition losses. Withdrawn from service in 1988 when 22 IBAP converted to the Su-25. Military Type Number 7207?

At least ten MiG-17R delivered from 1963 onwards. Photo recce version of MiG-17F with AFA-39 cameras. Used by 26th ORAP for the tactical recce role. Withdrawn from service in 1988. Military Type Number ?

Milkoyan-Gurevitch MiG-17PF Fresco D 
Total of twelve MiG-17PF delivered from 1955. Two Polish-built Lim-5P (licence-built MiG-17PF) delivered circa 1960. Used by ? unit for the interceptor role. 21st IAP at Uzundzhovo converted from MiG-19 to MiG-17F/PF to make up for high attrition losses. Withdrawn from service in 1982. Military Type Numbers 7137 (MiG-17PF) and 7138 (Lim-5P).
