DFW C.V 
Six new-build DFW C.V [220hp Benz-IV] 2-seat reconnaissance biplanes obtained circa June 1917. Used by 1 and 2 Aeroplane Otdelenie for the reconnaissance role. 4 aircraft surviving by start of 1918, 3 aircraft by early September 1918. 12 October 1918 withdrawn to Bojurishte airfield. All but one scrapped by Allied Control Commission in 1920. One C.Va aircraft used by Gendarmerie Air Otdelenie 10 April 1921 to 30 March 1922.

Fokker D.VII 
Eight Albatros-built Fokker D.VII (BMW-IIIA 185hp) single-seat biplane fighters delivered 15 September 1918 - too late to see any action. All but one stored at Bojurishte and scrapped by Allied Control Commission in 1920. One aircraft had guns removed and fitted with decoy rear cockpit to make it look like a 2-seater trainer, used by Gendarmerie Air Otdelenie 1921 to 30 March 1922. Guns restored circa 1926 and used by Hunting Yato as Bulgaria's only combat-ready aircraft. Withdrawn some time after 1927.

Fokker E.III 
Three Fokker E80/E.III (110 hp Gnome) single-seat monoplane fighters delivered 27 September 1915. Two aircraft used by the Fighter Komando of the Aeroplane Depot at Bojurishte for the air defence of Sofia and for fighter-pilot training. A third aircraft was unarmed and used for pilot training. One aircraft written off by a crash during training, while the remaining two were still in use in September 1916 but withdrawn from the air defence role by the end of 1916 as obsolete.

LFG Roland D.II 
Six LFG Roland D.II (Mercedes D-III 160hp) single-seat biplane fighters delivered in June 1917. Assembled and flight tested at Bojurishte before being issued to front line units. Used by 1 Aeroplane Otelenie (2 aircraft), 2 Aeroplane Otdelenie (2 aircraft) and Fighter Komando of the Aeroplane Depot (2 aircraft). Only 3 aircraft serviceable on Salonica front by start of 1918, none left by early September 1918. Serials should be in the range D.2830/16 to D.2929/16.

LFG Roland D.III 
Six LFG Roland D.III (Argus AS-III 180hp) single-seat biplane fighters delivered by 13 May 1918. Used by 1 Aeroplane Otdelenie (2 aircraft) and 2 Aeroplane Otdelenie (4 aircraft). Only two aircraft left by early September 1918. 12 October 1918 withdrawn to Bojurishte airfield and scrapped by Allied Control Commission in 1920.

LVG B.II 
Six new-build LVG B.II (120 hp Mercedes) 2-seat reconnaissance biplanes delivered in late October 1915, followed by six more in 1916. Initially based at Sofia for crew training. Used by 1 Aeroplane Otdelenie and 2 Aeroplane Otdelenie. None left in front line service by start of 1918. [Note: The Air Power reference below incorrectly identifies these aircraft as LVG C.IIs].

Nieuport XXIV 
Two Nieuport XXIV (120 hp Le Rhone) biplane fighters captured from the French Air Force on 27 December 1917 when their pilots became disorienated and they landed behind Bulgarian lines near Ksanti (Xanthi). From 30 December 1917 these aircraft were flown by Bulgarian pilots of 1 Aeroplane Otdelenie in active combat. Both aircraft were written off in crashes when flown by Marko Bonchev - the second crash being fatal.

Otto C.I 
Thirteen Otto C.I 2 seat twin-boomed biplane bombers (150 hp Benz D.III) delivered to Bojurishte in the spring of 1916. Used by 2 Aeroplane Otdelenie at Udovo airfield in the bombing and reconnaissance roles. Still used at the start of 1917 for reconnaissance but soon withdrawn in favour of the Albatros C.III.
