Gendarmerie Air Otdelenie
Role: Policing
The Gendarmerie Air Otdelenie was established on 25 January 1921 to carry out customs and police duties. The first aircraft were assigned on 10 April 1921. It never had more than three aircraft in service. The personnel comprised aircrew and ground crew veterans from WW1, with the intention of retaining their experience following the disbandment of the Army Aviation Corps.
The unit was disbanded by order of the Allied Control Commission on 30 March 1922.
The Commanding officer was Kapitan Ivan Milanov.
