| Title: | Statni Letecky Utvar |
| Title in English: | Czech Government Flying Service |
| Abbreviation: | SLU |
Narrative Summary:
In 1945 the "Letectvo sboru narodni bezpecnosti" (The aviation of the Corps of national security) established a unit for the transport of Government officials and other VIPs. This was known as the Federal Government Flight (LOMV - Letecky oddil ministerstvo vnitra) or Airline of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (LS FMV - Letecka spolecnost federalniho ministerstvo vnitra).
National Security aviation went through various name changes, eventually becoming the Letecka sprava Sboru narodni bezpecnosti in 1988. In 1990 it was divided into two bodies: Letecka sprava SNB and Statni letecky utvar (SLU). Previously, Government aviation had been a regular part of the Letecka sprava SNB.
When the Czechoslovak republic was divided into the Czech republic and the Slovak republic in 1993, three aircraft were passed to Slovakia. On 1 January 1999 all Czech Government Flying Service aircraft were passed to the Air Force. All aircraft carried civilian markings.
