The main marking is displayed in 6 positions (ie above and below each wing, and on each side of the fuselage) on aircraft - but on fuselage sides only on helicopters. The fin flash is usually displayed on the fin. Army aircraft do not carry service titles.
Greek army serial numbers comprise a three-figure number, (except for the AH-64 which uses a 4-figure number), with the prefix ES- for Elliniki Stratou, eg: CH-47DG ES-908.

Alphabetical Order --- Chronological Order
An offer to supply 15 Bell AH-1P and 2 TAH-1P by the USA was rejected in 1994. The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk has been reported in Greek Army service, but this is due to confusion with Greek Navy SH-60 Sea Hawks. One Agusta A109A was reported in 1997, but not actually used by the Army.
