Main markingFin Flash
The main marking is displayed in 6 positions (ie above and below each wing, and on each side of the fuselage) on aircraft - but on fuselage sides only on helicopters. There is no fin flash. Aircraft carry the service titles CARABINIERI on the fuselage sides.
Carabinieri helicopters carry a one-, two- or three-digit serial number, prefixed by the letters CC-, eg: AB.206A CC-51. These numbers used run in a continuous sequence from CC-1 to CC-100+, but earlier numbers are now being reused as older types are withdrawn.
