The main marking is displayed in 6 positions (ie above and below each wing, and on each side of the fuselage) on aircraft - but on fuselage sides only on helicopters. There is no fin flash. No service titles are carried.

Aircraft Serial Numbering System(s):
Guardia di Finanza aircraft and helicopters carry a one-, two- or three-digit serial number, prefixed by the letters GdiF-, eg: AB.412HP GdiF-208. These numbers run in a continuous sequence from GdiF-1 to GdiF-145+ with a jump to GdiF-200+ for the AB.412s. Earlier numbers are now being reused as older types are withdrawn.
