Main markingFin Flash
Aircraft and helicopters wear the main marking on the fuselage sides, and the national flag as a fin flash. All types carry the service titles 'PROTEZIONE CIVILE'.
Italian Civil Defence aircraft and helicopters carry civil registrations in I-SRMx and I-DPCx series, eg: CL-415 I-DPCH. The limited range of letters means that registrations are re-used when aircraft are retired. The Canadairs also carry large 'fleet numbers' in the range 1-25.
