Seek an upgrade for 10 Mi-24s after the Visegrad nations joint programme collapsed.

Main Headquarters:

Current Organisational Structure:
The air force was organised into three Air Base Wings, each with an Air Wing comprising between two and four Squadrons, plus the Flying School. The 2nd Air Wing has since been reduced to a Squadron and the Flying School disbanded.

The main air bases are Sliac, Malacky-Kuchyna and Presov.
