Narrative Summary:
When the Czechoslovak republic was divided into the Czech republic and the Slovak republic in 1993, three aircraft from the the Federal Government Flight (LOMV - Letecky oddil ministerstvo vnitra) or Airline of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (LS FMV - Letecka spolecnost federalniho ministerstvo vnitra) were passed to Slovakia. A new organisation combining Police and Government air transport duties was founded called "Letecky utvar Ministerstva vnutra Slovenskej republiky" - Aviation Body of Ministry of Interior affairs of Slovak republic (ABMI). The Government Transport unit is popularly referred to as the Slovak Government Flying Service. Two additional aircraft were acquired shortly after its formation. In 2006 the unit was renamed Odbor leteckej prepravy Uradu pro zastupovani diplomatickych misii pri MV - Air Transport Section for Government Diplomatic Missions. All aircraft carry civilian markings.
Note: This page only covers the Government air transport operations of the Interior Ministry. The Police aviation operations of the Interior Ministry are described separately.
