A cheaper Falcon 2000EX was ordered in 2002 to replace the planned acquisition of a Falcon 900EX in the VIP transport role. Political protests over its high price forced the Government to cancel the 900EX order. Immediately after it's delivery the Falcon 2000EX was put on lease to an American operator for 10 years.
