Unit History


Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance
Role: Air Ambulance

Originally the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance (for the Lincolnshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust), it later combined with the Nottinghamshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust to form the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. The Air Ambulance first began operations in Lincolnshire in April 1994. The area of operation was extended to include Nottinghamshire in 1997. The helicopter is operated by Specialist Aviation Services.
