Unit History

Isle of Man Air Ambulance
Role: Air Ambulance

(Isle of Man Ambulance Service).
A fixed-wing air ambulance was introduced circa 1990 for transporting patients to and from the mainland. It is operated by Woodgate Aviation/Keen Leasing under contract. More recently, the IoM Government has hired a helicopter from Bond Air Services during the annual motorcycle races, which see a large increase in the number of visitors to the island.
