Dornier Y
Two Swiss-built Dornier Y ordered 21 May 1931 and delivered in October 1932. Initially fitted with Bristol Jupiter engines, but replaced by 480 hp Gnôme-Rhône Jupiter 9Ae engines in 1937. Two more Swiss-built examples delivered in March 1937. Powered by 480 hp Gnôme Rhône Jupiter 9Kers engines. Fitted with 420 hp IAM Jupiter K-9 engines in 1939. Used in the bomber, crew training and reconnaissance roles. After 1938 they served with 81.Reg. at Mostar-Ortijes. In 1939 it was replaced by the SM-79. Detached to Pancevo and used for transport, liaison and parachute training duties. Captured by the Germans at Kraljevo airport in April 1941, with one example going to the Croatian Air Force.
