Hawker Fury Srs IA
Six 'Yugoslav Fury (Series 1A)' ordered 1931, first flown 4 April 1931, and shipped to Yugoslavia in 1932. Rolls-Royce Merlin IIS engine. Third aircraft temporarily fitted with a Hispano-Suiza 12 NB engine, and flown 17 August 1931 in this form, but restored to standard configuration. The sixth aircraft was later returned to Hawkers for fitment of a Lorraine Petrel Hfrs engine as the 'Yugolav Fury (Special)'. Used in the fighter role. Still in service in April 1941.
