Ikarus IK-2
One IK-L1 prototype ordered in 1933. All-metal gull-wing single seat fighter - the first designed in Yugoslavia. First flight on 22 April 1935, but lost in piloting accident on third flight. 860 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Ycrs engine. A second prototype, designated IK-2 (or IK-02 or IK-L2) was produced in 1936 and successfully passed its evaluation trials. Twelve production aircraft were ordered in late 1937, with the last aircraft delivered in February 1939. 860 hp Avia HS-12Ycrs engine. Used in the fighter role. Still in serice in April 1941. Four aircraft captured by the Germans and passed to the Croatian Air Force.
