SPAD VII
Twenty-two SPAD S.VII C1 obtained by the Serbian Air Force from the French Army in late 1918. Served with joint French/Serbian air units of the Eastern Army. Eleven of these were inherited by the JKRV. Several more (6-9?) obtained from the French AF in Hungary after the war, and more (9-10?) were purchased from France in the early 1920s. Total S.VII C1 acquired by the JKRV about 25-30. 180 hp Hispano-Suiza 8Ab engine. Used in the fighter role and later as fighter trainers. Withdrawn from service in 1926 (early 1930s?).
