Escadrila za Vezu
Role: Liaison

The unit was first formed on 18 August 1944 on the liberated Adriatic Island of Vis. Also known as the 'Liaison Squadron of the VS NOVJ' (Headquarters of the Yugoslav People's Liberation Army) the Escadrila za Vezu was a unit only composed of captured aircraft, including several Bf 109Gs captured at Kovin airfield in Barat in October 1944. The Ju 52 was captured at Niksic in Montenegro. It performed mostly a liaison role between NOVJ headquarters and its units in the battlefield. Between August and November 1944 it performed 1200 missions.
