The Associazione was first founded in 1995 by a group of civil aviation enthusiasts living around Milan’s Malpensa Airport. In the same year they began publishing a 16 colour page A5 format bi-monthly magazine called ‘Winglets’, for Clipper members. The magazine mainly comprises the best photos of airliners taken by members.
At the same time, the members launched a monthly A4 format black & white newsheet, called ‘Transponder’, recording the association’s activities, airline news, interesting technical news etc. In January 1998, ‘Transponder’ was redesigned and now appears in full colour and in A3 (sic) format.
