Title means Flight & Space. Monthly magazine covering aerospace and defence industry matters with a national and international scope. The first issue was published in November 1979, which makes it the the oldest aviation & defense magazine in Greece. Very good coverage of Greek Air Force developments. Issue 145 was dated April 1997.

Bi-monthly magazine first published on 11 May 2005, focusing on Civil Aviation, General Aviation and Aerosports. Every issue covers an airport (Greek or international), an airline company, an in-flight description, black box (accident analysis), an airshow or an aviation museum, all Greek general aviation fly-ins, and all Greek aerosports results, aviation conferences, flight simulator, aviation photo contests, technical matters, aviation crossword, historical issues are covered as well. The subjects chosen concentrate mainly on Greek Aviation.

All issues have 116 pages (except issue 4, which had 132 pages in order to cover the 1st Greek Airshow “Archaggelos 2005”). Issue 4 had an aviation calendar with Greek and Cyprus airliners. Issue 5 was the first with a free DVD. It is planned that every issue will be accompanied either by a DVD or an aviation gift. Every issue also includes a big double-sided poster (sized 63 x 86 cm) with two themes per side – giving 4 free aviation posters in each issue.

Title means Modern Air Force & Navy. It started as a monthly publication with first issue published in December 1993. It is now bi-monthly. Issue 28 was dated March-April 1997.

Title means ‘The Airplane’. Bi-monthly magazine published by the Hellenic Experimental & Ultra-Light Aircraft Association (HEA), which was founded in 1975. It mainly covers General and Sport Aviation and includes technical reports, presentations and flying tests of aircrafts, ultralights, trikes etc. Some pages are devoted to Aviation History. Finally, it hosts the news of Greek Aeroclubs.

Title means News from the International Plastic Modeler’s Society Hellasy. Quarterly publication with the first issue published in 1985. A good source of information for Greek Air Force a/c, their serials, history etc. Published an excellent book on the Greek A/C from 1912 ’til today.

Aviation-related Magazines Guide

Monthly publication with the first issue published in 1989. A modelling magazine that covers all aspects of building plastic model ships, airplanes, armour, and cars. Includes extensive coverage on the different types of Greek Air Force a/c, their serials, history etc. Also referred to as Modelling Montelistiko Periodiko.

Amintika Themata / ΑΜΥΝΤΙΚΑ ΘΕΜΑΤΑ

Aviation-related Magazines Guide

The title ‘Amintika Themata’ means Defense Matters. This monthly publication was the oldest Greek defence magazine, first appearing in May 1986.

In all issues of the magazine are articles about the Greek Armed Forces, with a balance between the three branches (Army, Navy, Air Force). Specifically, it often included unit visits, exercise reports, weapons of the Greek Armed Forces, articles on light weapons, historical articles of Greek interest, defence and strategic analyses.

Issue 130 was dated April 1997. It ceased publication with combined issue No.267-268 in 2008.
