The title ‘Amina & Diplomatia’ means Defense & Diplomacy. Published for the first time in 1990, ‘Amina & Diplomatia’ covers issues of political, diplomatic, economic and military interest in Greece and Southeast Europe. Many of the articles published in Defense & Diplomacy discuss sensitive issues, such as procurement programs and intelligence issues.

The magazine has the exclusive rights to publish, in the Greek language, “Strategic Comments”, the most reliable source of information on international security and other political and military issues. “Strategic Comments” are issued by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). “Strategic Comments” is worldwide one of the most trusted sources of accurate and objective information for politicians, diplomats, analysts external relations, businessmen, economists, military and defense analysts, journalists, members of the university community and the general public.

A monthly periodical with the first issue appearing in August 1990, the original publisher was called Daphne. From 2006 onwards, the magazine has been published by “Expansion Consulting Solutions” – a company owned by the editor Alexander Turks. Issue 72 was dated April 1997.

Amina & Texnologia / ΑΜΥΝΑ & ΤΕΧΝΟΛΟΓΙΑ

The title ‘Amina & Texnologia’ means Defence & Technology. It carried the subtitle: A Greek Monthly Military Review. Also announced on the cover was the fact that it included pages in English. Although one of the earlier crop of Greek defence magazines, this title does not appear to have survived competition from later publications covering the same subject area.

The first issue appeared in 1988. Issue No.24 appeared in 1990. Issue No.30 was dated Aug-Sep 1990. The magazine ceased publication after issue No.63, circa 1993.

Aviation-related Magazines Guide

Monthly scale modelling publication. It covers aircraft, boats, armour and figures. The layout follows the familiar path of news and reviews followed by a series of detailed feature articles and colour profiles. The magazine is published in full-colour on high quality paper with many excellent colour photos. All captions are in Greek. 98 pages in each issue. Issue 20 was dated September 2000.

‘Aeronaitiki & Amina’ was an aviation magazine from the late 1980s/early 1990s. The title means Aeronautics & Defence. Although nominally a Defence magazine the content appears to have been 90% aviation, including a good proportion devoted to commercial airliners. The first issue was dated April 1988. Issue 48 was dated October 1992. The magazine ceased with issue 59, dated September 1993.

The title ‘Aeroporiki Epitheorisi’ means Aviation Review. This publication is a quarterly review published by the Greek Air Force, covering both current issues and historical topics of both the Greek and other Air Forces.

The magazine is entirely comprised of long well-illustrated articles on subjects associated with the Greek Air Force and aviation history. These subjects include pioneering flights, personalities, Greek Air Force history, technical issues, the use of air power around the world, weapons and aircraft, etc.

Each issue has 100-200 pages and numerous b+W and colour photos, diagrams and maps.
