Virus Plasticus

Aviation-related Magazines Guide

‘Virus Plasticus’ was a quarterly scale plastic modelling magazine. It was launched in 1977 by the Bern Branch as simple duplicated pages stapled between card covers, but it became a properly printed magazine in 1979. Only 3 issues were published in 1984 and 1985. It contained modelling articles in either German or French, depending on the author. Each issue usually included a feature article describing an aircraft in Swiss markings. Around 24-56 pages were included in each issue, with many scale drawings. It ceased publication sometime around 1992. The previous IPMS Switzerland magazine was called ‘Memo‘, published during the 1970s.
