Coast Guard Air Squadron 745 (CGAS 745) was first activated on 5 January 1996 with two Do 228 aircraft. It operates from the premises of the Andoman and Nicobar Flying Institute. The unit role is maritime patrol of the Andaman Islands and Nicobar Islands region.
