Unit History


Compañía de Aviación del Ejército 1 "López"

Role: Army aviation.

The unit was formed on 15.8.1981 as Sección G - Apoyo Aéreo with one Lama helicopter. On 29.3.1995 the unit was renamed Compañía de Aviación del Ejército 291 "Cnl. DEM. Claudio Armando López Córdova". During 2001 the company got its present name Compañía de Aviación del Ejército 1 "López".
